Marc With a C accidentally began a trilogy with Thanatophobia, the first Phase II album for the formerly persona-driven singer/songwriter/storyteller. A series of health setbacks began to culminate in memory loss. "Please Believe In Yourself, Alright?" is the middle of that trilogy, for which the full name hasn't yet been announced. This portion pivots between distraction for sanity and doomscrolling for insanity, trying to be thankful for what remains, yet what remains becomes smaller and smaller. An odd hope permeates and occasionally breaks through the surface of this very, very personal record - but does the album really end on a note of acceptance? Is there much further to go?

The initial release will see less than 100 vinyl copies distributed and sold. Further releases will include a bonus EP and more, potentially, but at present, this is the most immediate way to catch up. And we aren't kidding about "immediate".

No digital release will occur before 11/17/2023, but those who pre-order physical copies WILL almost certainly have theirs long, long, long before the official release date. Make of that what you will!

Echoes of Phase I tones begin to spring up as this album plays on. The vinyl and digital experiences are intentionally different, and will be player-dependent. This album uses its own formats against itself, and the sound of "spinning your wheels until they're visibly flying off" becomes the way of this walk. Will you fight further, or will you do you?

On 1/16/21, Phase One ended, planned for over 10 years. As Marc began his “intermission” a mere coincidence saw him battle illnesses, born of cancer.
