lyrics

You’re gonna make me lonesome when you throw out that CD
That biscuits the only link there ever was between you and me
The format was fallible, on that we can agree
No more physical reminders, now there’s only memories
That’s right, even on our best days, there’s only memories

Let’s throw out the old stuff so we can make room for new phones
Which don’t do what we want and never make us whole, but hey
We’ll never need shelves again and we might not even need a home
We can all crash with our parents with our friends with our friends in rectangles
Let’s all aggregate some content with our friends in rectangles

Aggregate!

(Are you aggregating?)

We won’t consume classic media because it’s only in SD
But we'll fawn over cat videos on a teensy four-inch screen
And when your parent’s house burns down, yeah, when it all goes up in flames
At least there’s no more family albums, no, there’s nothing much to save
Besides the cat that you take pictures of there’s nothing much to save

Please don't let my art die
It's about the only thing I did right with my life
I tried so hard to be obscure to make the right people smile
Please don't let my art die

We can talk to people nearly halfway around the globe
We can delete our contacts, run the jewels and watch the throne
Or we can have a Skype date with someone we barely know
And I can send virtual hugs while we all sleep alone
I hope your choices keep you warm while we all sleep alone

Goodnight!

about

Marc With a C Orlando, Florida

For 21 years, Marc With a C was a persona portrayed by Marc Sirdoreus, bridging the gap between analog and digital worlds, using low fidelity pop music as communication.

On 1/16/21, Phase One ended, planned for over 10 years. As Marc began his “intermission” a mere coincidence saw him battle illnesses, born of cancer.

Phase Two began 2/22/22 with THANATAOPHOBIA on Needlejuice Records!
